The event will take place in Tomar at the excellent premises of Instituto Politécnico de Tomar (IPT). IPT has recently created a group devoted to Applied Mathematics in Telecommunications and this event will undoubtedly contribute significantly to its consolidation and growth. We note that Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) has long lasting links with IPT, that many of the junior members of staff are involved in master and doctoral programmes supervised by professors members of IT, and that IPT members of staff are already members of IT.
