Sub-Working Groups

This This Sub-Task deals with concepts and the realization of a measurement procedure for the „Characterization the Air-Interface from Mobile Phones“ concerning the surrounding as human body, multipath propagation, fading, etc. This procedure should include the influence of the Mobile phone on the user (field strength in the head, etc.) and the influence of the user on the mobile phone (antenna diagramms, antenna mismatch, etc).

In the beginning the focus of the subgroup is to look to the actual measurement setups. In the course of the action the scope will be on the discussion and the research of the different advantages and disadvantages of the various procedures.

The aim of this group is to propose a standardized measurement procedure to ETSI to include it in the specification for mobile phones.

At the moment members of this group are manufacturers of mobile phones and antennas, mobile network operators, research institutes and consultants.
